IPSOS Honey-Cakes
Very tasty honey-cakes - the original recipe is from Ipsos Poland. One year, before Christmas, the company sent this recipe to their clients along with Holiday Cards. Thanks! You should make these cookies a bit earlier, about 2 weeks before serving, and keep them in a box to let them mature.

Ingredients
  • 200 g butter
  • 200 g sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/2 glasses of honey
  • 500-700 g wheat flour
  • 1.5 table spoons of backing powder
  • 2 spoons of gingerbread flavoring
  • 1 table spoon of grinded ginger
  • icing for decoration, for instance
Directions
  1. Mix butter and sugar with a mixer; add eggs and honey.
  2. Mix flour with baking powder and flavoring.
Add to the butter fudge and stir to mix all ingredients quickly.
Put into a refrigerator for an hour (or for the whole night).
  3. Cut the hardened cake into 4 parts and roll out into cakes 3mm thick.
Use cookie forms to cut the cookies out of the cake,
put on a form filled with oiled paper.
Put into the oven and keep for 15 minutes in 180 deg. C (until cookies turn golden brown).
  4. Cool and decorate.
