Herring under a Duvet
Herring served under leyers of veges and egg.
Nice and tasty herrings dish, wich can be enjjoyed on Christmas, and on Easter too!



Ingredients
  • herrings cut into bite size portions (I use matjas)
  • boiled vegetables: potato, carots, beetroot - all finely grated but not mixed!
  • hard boiled eggs
  • finely diced onion
  • spring onion for decoration
  • mayonnaise
Directions
  1. In a dish arrange in layers: herrings, onion, mayonnaise and veges: beetroot, mayonnaise, carots, mayonnaise, potato, mayonnaise, finished with grated eggs.
  2. You may finish off with chopped spring onion, arranged around dish.
  3. It needs a few hours to combine tastes. Keep in refrigerator. Serve with bread.
